Rebecca Webster was diagnosed with leukaemia at two years of age and underwent treatment for the disease at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Rebecca is now a happy eight year old little girl and at school enjoying a normal childhood. Our thanks go to the Doctors, Nurses and other Staff who work on the Child Cancer Ward at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Lightening does not strike twice, you might think, but it does!

In May 2005 Rebecca's mother, Linda Webster, was diagnosed with breast cancer, has undergone surgery to remove the tumor and is currently receiving medical treatment for breast cancer.

In the UK we are fortunate to have centres of excellence for treatment of patients with cancerous diseases.

The medical research establishments seeking cures for cancer, however, only receive limited funding from central government. Charitable donations from the public are needed to fund research into these cancers.

To this end Linda Webster has been making handmade cards in her free time.

All proceeds from the sale of her handmade cards go to the Tyneside Leukaemia Research Association!
